Job Description:

Jay Advertising, an agency specializing in retail, seeks a proactive, self-motivated, original thinker to work across our client base. The Media Planner/Buyer is responsible for executing all day-to-day media planning and client service activities associated with assigned account(s). The Media Planner/Buyer provides media planning recommendations and offers resourceful problem-solving, both internally and externally, while maintaining successful client relationships. S/he prepares media plans and other deliverables, and executes media plan implementation.   Ideal candidates for these positions will have at least two years of solid media experience including buying of traditional and digital media. Potential candidates will have demonstrated negotiating strengths as well as idea-driven and forward thinking approaches to their responsibilities. Our approach with both our clients and our vendors is partnership-driven. Willingness to relocate to Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • • Work with media team to develop innovative results-oriented traditional and digital media plans for strategically demanding clients
  • • Research analysis to develop strategically solid media recommendations with supporting rationale
  • • Buying of broadcast and other media to comply with plans approved by clients
  • • Monitor and provide reporting/analytics to insure client success through ongoing optimization; Recommend and implement ideas for positive client impact
  • • Work with account service and creative teams to ensure that media plans blend into an overall marketing and creative strategy
  • • Provide detailed market and target audience analysis
  • • Stay current on new media and new media trend

Qualifications:

  • • Degree in advertising, marketing or a related field
  • • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • • Minimum 5 years’ experience making local TV, radio, and/or digital buys
  • • Strong negotiating skills
  • • Basic knowledge of media terms and research tools
  • • Excellent math and communications skills
  • • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint

Jay Advertising is looking to hire a dedicated full time team member with a passion for digital marketing to add to our expanding digital department! Jay is a full-service agency offering creative, production, media, and digital services to clients both locally and across the country. This position focuses primarily on campaign trafficking, and publisher/network management, as well as managing and supporting the clients through daily traffic and troubleshooting functions.

Responsibilities:

  • • Campaign trafficking – Paid Search, Rich Media, Pre-Roll, Display, etc.
  • • Trafficking and monitoring budgets/bids by tactic in select demand side platforms
  • • Client traffic communications
  • • Adwords SEM management
  • • Target and demographic research for media proposals
  • • Communicate with internal teams to acquire assets
  • • Building, deploying and testing online tracking elements
  • • Provide ongoing, timely internal updates regarding managed client campaigns
  • • Effectively and quickly work with digital team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • • Assist with campaign final reporting analytics and insights
  • • Keep up-to-date on all digital media trends
  • • Monitor all active campaign budgets and timelines

Qualifications:

  • • Bachelor’s Degree
  • • 1-2 years of experience of ad trafficking and/or campaign management experience
  • • 1-2 years of experience with Google Adwords
  • • Ability to understand media plan objectives for each campaign; KPIs
  • • Ability to read, analyze and offer optimization insights of campaign analytics
  • • Microsoft Excel experience
  • • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • • Basic understanding of SEO
  • • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced work environment
  • • Knowledge of various digital image file types (JPG, MOV, PNG, MP4, etc.)

Useful experience but not required:

  • • Google Adwords and/or Analytics Certifications
  • • Experience with Google Analytics UTM and Conversion set up
  • • Paid Social advertising experience
  • • Basic knowledge of ROI tags and re-targeting pixels
  • • Basic HTML
  • • Basic knowledge of digital design and ad unit format
